Apache Canyon dendritic rhyolite is an increasingly rare material from Deming, New Mexico that is noted for its awesome desert landscape scenes. Dark maroon silhouettes on a reddish/pink, and occasionally white/yellow background produce some amazing “rock pictures”. A very hard rhyolite, it takes a great polish, making exceptional finished pieces. A definite “must” for any serious artisan or rock collector.
